RevoCell® Bay / Bow Window Features

Bay and Bow windows protrude outside, expanding the indoor space and allowing for a panoramic view outside. This feature is particularly useful on townhouses or other buildings with reduced fenestration. With sunlight entering the room from 180 degrees, bow and bay windows are great at brightening the interior. With a highly decorative value on the facade, our bow and bay windows add curb appeal. From standard configurations to complex custom arrangements, we’ll build your bow and bay windows to your exact requirements, to match any home style.

Bay Windows - Microcellular PVC Construction

Microcellular PVC Construction

Our RevoCell® window frames, brickmoulds, and sashes are insulated with billions of closed microscopic cells for superior energy efficiency. They are fusion-welded as a single unit, impervious to the elements. The microcellular PVC structure has better screw holding power for hardware, and distributes stress better than hollow window frames, for extra durability.

Bay Windows - Contemporary Design

Contemporary Design

Our RevoCell® bay windows feature a minimalist, slim profile that goes equally well with traditional and contemporary home designs.

Bay Windows - 4½” Fusion-welded Frame

4½” Fusion-welded Frame

Our bay windows come standard on a 4-1/2” deep frame, which is stronger and more durable than the standard 3-1/4” sold elsewhere. The deeper frames give extra dimensional stability and strength. It also allows for a lower sash profiles to maximize the glass surface.

Bay Windows - Structural Construction

Structural Construction

Our RevoCell® multi-lite bay windows feature structurally strong, seamless one-piece frames with integrated cross-mullions, as opposed to the more common modular construction where each lite is a separate window. Our single frame will transfer loads better through the wall, will deflect stronger winds, and have fewer points at risk of water ingress or air leaks. It will also allow for a larger glass surface for more natural light.

Bay Windows - Dual and Triple-pane Insulated Glass Units

Dual and Triple-pane Insulated Glass Units

Two or more layers of glass are joined together to create sealed hollow chambers that act as a thermal buffer. This drastically reduces direct heat transfer through the glass, as well as helps prevent condensation and ice build-up. It also helps soundproof the interior, especially in conjunction with a high-quality cellular spacer.

Bay Windows - Low-emissivity Coated Glass

Low-emissivity Coated Glass

An invisibly thin coating is applied onto one or more of the glass surfaces, reflecting most of the heat in the form of infrared radiation back inside the home during winter and outside during summer, while letting most visible light pass through.

Bay Windows - Argon Gas Filling

Argon Gas Filling

The air between the glass panes inside a thermal glass unit is replaced with argon. This inert, odourless gas is heavier than air, reducing convection between the panes. Its lower specific heat capacity reduces direct heat transfer. The argon fill hence reduces heat loss, and offsets water vapour to prevent condensation between the panes.

Bay Windows - Ener-Edge® Warm-edge Spacer

Ener-Edge® Warm-edge Spacer

Our insulated glass units use a cellular silicone warm-edge spacer with the lowest thermal conductivity on the market, minimizing heat transfer between the interior and the exterior. It also allows for the natural expansion and compression of glass due to environmental temperature changes without failing the seal between them.

Bay Windows - Triple Weatherstripping

Triple Weatherstripping

Our RevoCell® window sashes use three continuous seals at the interface with the window frame and mullions. This stops drafts and the associated heat leaks through the window. The thermal glass unit is also sealed to the sash from both the inside and the outside.

Bay Windows - PVC-cladded Interior Wood Extension

PVC-cladded Interior Wood Extension

Our bay windows use an interior wood extension that can be manufactured in any depth. This extension is cladded with maintenance-free PVC, providing a finish that does not need sealing or painting. It also allows for the installation of blinds or other window treatments, and adds to the window strength and durability.

Bay Windows - High-gloss Finish

High-gloss Finish

We use the highest-grade PVC powder and fabrication techniques which result in a high-gloss PVC finish. As a result, our bay windows are easier to clean, more durable, and won’t fade or yellow over time.

Bay Windows - Foam-insulated Post for Bay / Bow Windows

Foam-insulated Post for Bay / Bow Windows

We insulate our posts with polyurethane foam to give our windows extra energy efficiency. Apart from insulation value, the foam also eliminates drafts and is impervious to water.

Bay Windows - Exterior Bay Window Angle Mullion

Our angled mullion allows you to get all the benefits of a beautiful bay window and ensures you get our solid structural frame offering better protection and more natural light.

Bay Windows - “One-Click”, Easy-to-remove Screen

“One-Click”, Easy-to-remove Screen

Our smooth-edge, easy-to-remove “One-Click” screens are the easiest screens to operate in the industry. With their durable yet elegant aluminium finish, these screens won’t warp or break down over time like some of the competition.

Bay Windows - Durable Standard Colours

Durable Standard Colours

Our RevoCell® windows come in several standard colours that are engineered during the profile extrusion. Lighter tones are made with cap stock, meaning a layer of tinted PVC covering all exterior-facing surfaces. The darker tones are architectural-grade laminates that are UV reflective and extremely colourfast. Our standard colours are extremely UV and weather-resistant, and won’t peel, flake, or scratch like paint finishes.
