On September 5, 2026, four of our own laced up (and dove in) at The Canadian Triathlon & Run, held at Mooney’s Bay in Ottawa.
Organized by Somersault Events, the race brings together triathletes and duathletes of every experience level, from first-timers to seasoned athletes.
Our crew covered the full range:

Alex Osipenko didn't stop at the finish line, either. He used the event to raise $4,060 for Operation Come Home, an Ottawa-based organization that supports young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Verdun Windows and Doors matched every dollar, bringing the total to $8,120 for the community we build in every day.
It's also a nice snapshot of life at Verdun. Our team has access to an on-site gym, because we want our people healthy and happy, not just at work, but in everything they take on outside of it. Watching four of our own take on race day is exactly the kind of thing we love to cheer for.
Cooper, Julie, Guillaume, and Alex: you swam, biked, and ran to become some of our proudest neighbours this month, and thank you for supporting the Ottawa community along the way.
