We are excited to announce that the ground breaking ceremony of our new Nordik Windows manufacturing factory took place June 9, 2025 in the 417 Industrial Park in Vars.

Doubling Down on Window Innovation and Production Capacity

The expanded factory with a footprint of over 104,000 sq.ft. will allow us to ramp up production of our energy-efficient windows, as well as introduce new product lines such as impact-resistant windows designed to withstand extreme weather. Due late 2026, the new factory will allow us to add over 40 new jobs to the local economy, and support even more jobs elsewhere in our service areas.

The project, estimated at about $30M in cost, comes to life with generous support from the federal, provincial, and municipal levels.

Giovanna Mingarelli, Member of Parliament for Prescott–Russell–Cumberland, announced a Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), Government of Canada investment of $1 million to acquire and install advanced equipment which will increase production, will also use recycled materials to help divert waste from landfills.

MPP Stéphane Sarrazin of Glengarry-Prescott-Russell, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade (Small Business), Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Francophone Affairs, and Member of the Standing Committee on Justice Policy, announced a grant of $500,000 from the Eastern Ontario Development Fund (EODF) that aligns with provincial goals to modernize local manufacturing and promote clean, green industrial development.

The Township of Russell, represented at the ceremony by Mayor Mike Tarnowski and Councillor Lisa Deacon, facilitated the selection and optimization of the lot in the 417 Industrial Park where the facility is being built.
